Weather for New Year's Eve and New Year 2025. tvnmeteo.pl forecast for New Year's Eve

– The weather in the country will continue to be shaped by an extensive high pressure system covering most of Europe. Cool, moist air of polar origin will remain over Poland, with strong haze and dense fog, locally with drizzle – said tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Damian Zdonek.

The forecaster explained that in the following days the high pressure will gradually weaken and the pressure will drop. A zone of wavy cold front will begin to affect the north, bringing occasional rainfall. Poland will be divided weather-wise into a cloudy, windy north and a clear, temporarily sunny southern part.

IN Sunday it will be cloudy in northern and eastern Poland. In other regions there will be heavy cloudiness with clear weather, initially covering the southwest, then also partially the center and south. It will be foggy in the morning, and locally, mainly in eastern Poland, these conditions will persist throughout the day. Thermometers will show from 2 degrees Celsius in Podkarpacie, Świętokrzyskie and Western Pomerania to 5 degrees Celsius in Silesia and in places in the Coastal region. The southwest wind will be light to moderate.

Monday it will bring cloudy skies in the south with some showers and local clearing. Slightly worse weather is expected in the north, where there will be light, showery rainfall of up to 2 liters of rain per square meter. The maximum temperature will range from 3 degrees C in the southeast, through 4-5 degrees C in the central regions, to 6-7 degrees C in Pomerania. There will be a moderate southwesterly wind, with quite strong gusts over the sea and reaching speeds of up to 40-60 kilometers per hour.

IN New Year's Eve in the north, completely cloudy with rainfall of up to 2-5 l/sq m is expected. In the central zone, it is expected to be cloudy with clear showers, but no precipitation. There will also be no rain in the south, and there will be moderate to little cloud cover. The thermometers will show from 3-4 degrees C in the east, through 5 degrees C in the center of the country, to 6-7 degrees C in the west. The wind will be southwesterly, moderate and quite strong, periodically reaching 40-60 km/h.

IN New Year's Eve the sky over the northern half of the country will be largely and completely cloudy. In Gdańsk Pomerania, Warmia and Masuria and the Suwałki region may receive up to 2-5 l/sq m. rain. In the rest of the country, the night will be quite clear. Thermometers will indicate from -3 degrees C in the south, through 0-2 degrees C in central Poland, to 2-4 degrees C in the south. A moderate wind will blow from the southwest, quite strong and strong over the sea, with gusts reaching speeds of 50-70 km/h.

As the forecaster explained, in the second half of the week a cold front zone will move through Poland, followed by a much colder Arctic air mass. This will result in temporary cooling with intermittent sleet and snow showers.

IN Wednesdaythe first day of 2025, it will be cloudy with light rain in the north and west of Poland, and in the Suwałki region – rain and snow. A fairly sunny day awaits residents of the southwest. The maximum temperature will range from 4-5 degrees C in the east, through 6 degrees C in the center of the country, to 7 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind from the southwest will be moderate and quite strong, gusting to 50-70 km/h, and over the sea – up to 60-80 km/h.

Thursday it will be largely cloudy and completely cloudy with light rain showers. The thermometers will show from 4 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 6 degrees C in the central regions, to 9 degrees C in the Podkarpacie region. There will be a southwesterly, moderate and quite strong wind, gusting to 40-60 km/h.
