Rain and storms at the beginning of the week will break a long period of sunny and dry weather. This does not mean that we say goodbye to the sun, but in the coming days umbrellas will come in handy many times. The temperature will remain high. It will still be very warm, even hot.
The Quiteria High covering Poland moves east, deep into Russia and gives way to the vast Jan Low with its center located over the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean. Poland will find it in the so-called warm section of the low, i.e. in the stream of warm air of tropical origin flowing from the south – informs tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-PyzioÅ‚ek.
Monday looks to be sunny in most of the country. Only in the north-eastern corners there will be more clouds and locally light rainfall of up to 1 liter of water per square meter is possible there. The maximum temperature will range from 25 degrees Celsius in the Suwałki region, through 27 degrees C in the center of the country, to 29 degrees C in the Lubusz region. The wind will be southerly, weak and moderate, sometimes stronger.
Rain and storms on Tuesday
On the night from Monday to Tuesday, as the forecaster announces, a cold atmospheric front will enter Poland, pushed by cold and moist polar air from the Atlantic. During the day it will pass through the country, bringing increased cloudiness with rain at moderate temperatures. It may also thunder.
On Tuesday, cloudiness will be moderate and heavy, with showers of 5-10 l/sq m moving from the west into the country and local storms. The thermometers will show a maximum of 21 degrees C in Pomerania, Podkarpacie and the Lublin region, through 22 degrees C in the center of the country, to 24 degrees C in Podlasie. The wind will blow from the south-west, weak and moderate, sometimes quite strong.

– The next day the pressure will increase and Poland will be under the influence of the high pressure from the Carpathians, but there will still be an atmospheric front over the south-eastern part of the country. From Thursday, Poland will once again begin to be affected by the great low-pressure whirlwind of air from the Atlantic Ocean, with another portion of warm air drawn from the south, in which the temperature will increase to nearly 30 degrees – announces the forecaster. As he adds, “on Friday, however, another front with rain and storms will roll into our country, pushed by another portion of polar air from the west.”
Light and moderate cloudiness is forecast for most of Poland on Wednesday. In the southeast, it will be heavy with rainfall up to 5 l/sq m. The maximum temperature will reach from 21 degrees C in Podlasie, through 23 degrees C in the center of the country, to 24-25 degrees C in the west and south. The wind will be south and west, light and moderate.

The weather will clear up across the country on Thursday. Thermometers will show a maximum of 24 degrees C in Podlasie, through 27 degrees C in the central regions, to 28 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind will blow from the south, light and moderate, sometimes quite strong. There will be strong foehn winds in the mountains.
Friday will be marked by sunny weather in the east of the country. Moreover, it will be cloudy with rainfall up to 5-25 l/sq m. and thunderstorms with hail, which will move from the west into Poland. The maximum temperature will range from 22 degrees C in Pomerania, through 27 degrees C in the center, to 29 degrees C in the south-east. The wind will be south-easterly, weak and moderate, sometimes quite strong. Foehn winds are forecast in the mountains.
