The last days of summer, which will end on Wednesday, will be cold, but we have a chance of warming afterwards. Check the author’s long-term weather forecast prepared by Tomasz Wasilewski.
During the weekend, cold air flowed into Poland from the north, and the temperature in the east and north of the country dropped by several degrees Celsius compared to the previous days. The icy end of summer is due to the north-eastern air circulation, which has formed between the high, which is in the north of the continent, and the low, which is to the east of our borders. This configuration causes the cold air from the north to slide down to the center of Europe (see map).
October will start quite warm
Ahead of us is a cool start to the week – the thermometers will be no more than 10 degrees in the east of the country and 13-14 in the west. Later the temperature will rise a bit and we can expect 16-17 degrees in the south of Poland. It may be even warmer just before the end of the month, then for a few days it will be 20-21 degrees, especially in the west and south of the country. It is also quite warm, with temperatures up to 19-20 degrees, October will begin.
