Poland is under the influence of an extensive low-pressure vortex, a moderate latitude cyclone with four centers. Main center Hurricane Ciaran weakens and gives way to the increasingly stronger Fred center, which will be in the region of Ireland on Saturday. The third low pressure center will be located over southern Scandinavia, and the fourth over the Balkans – explains tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.

Our country is located in a stream of moderately cold polar air flowing from the Atlantic Ocean. The rain front that will pass on the night from Friday to Saturday will move away from Scandinavia during the day, which will make it clearer.

On Saturday, there will be a lot of cloudiness, with more showers and clearer weather moving from the south into the country. In the northeast, there will initially be light rainfall of 1-5 liters of water per square meter. The maximum temperature will range from 10 degrees Celsius in Pomerania and Warmia, through 11-12 degrees C in the center of the country, to 13 degrees C in Małopolska and Podkarpacie. The wind will be southwesterly, weak and moderate, sometimes quite strong in the west and north-west, gusting to 50-60 kilometers per hour.

– In the next few days we will be within the range of large low-pressure systems, the centers of which will slowly move from the Atlantic towards the North Sea and then Scandinavia. We will remain in the flow of polar air from the west. The moist masses will bring alternating cloudiness and rain, as well as clear weather, the weather forecaster announces. He adds that “the stronger west and south-west wind will lower the perceived temperature, but will not allow the temperature to drop below zero at night.”

Sunday will bring moderate to heavy cloudiness with rainfall reaching 5-15 l/sq m from the south into the country. Only in the Lubusz region, Greater Poland, Kujawy and Kashubia will there generally be no rainfall. Thermometers will show a maximum of 10 degrees C in Żuławy, Warmia and the Suwałki region, through 12 degrees C in the central part of the country, to 13 degrees C in the Lubusz region and Podkarpacie. The wind will be southerly, moderate, sometimes quite strong, with gusts up to 60 km/h.

Mostly cloudy weather is forecast for Monday, with more showers and clearer weather in the southern regions. In the north and center of the country there will be light rainfall up to 5 l/sq m. The maximum temperature will reach from 10 degrees C in Podlasie, through 12 degrees C in central Poland, to 14 degrees C in places in the south. There will be a southwesterly, moderate and quite strong wind, gusting to 50-80 km/h, over the sea up to 90 km/h.

Tuesday will be cloudy and moderately cloudy. In the northern regions there is little rain, up to 3 l/sq m. The thermometers will show a maximum of 9 degrees C in Podlasie, through 11 degrees C in the center of the country, to 13 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind will be west and south-west, moderate, sometimes quite strong, gusting to a speed of 50-60 km/h.

On Wednesday, it will be cloudy with showers in the south of the country. The maximum temperature will range from 7 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 9 degrees C in the center of the country, to 11 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind from the west blows weakly and moderately, sometimes quite strongly.
