The coming days will bring a lot of cloudiness and rainfall, sleet and snow. Warm air will arrive during the weekend – the temperature may rise up to 14 degrees.
Over the next 24 hours, the weather in our part of the continent will be determined by two low pressure systems – Low Pressure Olga moving over western Russia and the Atlantic Cyclone Paulina located in the region of the British Isles. – Between these barometric centers there is a latitudinally wavy atmospheric front, dividing Europe into the cold north and the warmer south – said tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Daniel Kowalczyk. He added that on Wednesday, at the warmest moment of the day, the thermometers in southern Italy exceeded 20 degrees Celsius. Thermometers in northern Sweden showed similar values, but on the other side of zero.
On Wednesday, cold air from Scandinavia flowed over the country behind the cold section of the atmospheric front that moved over Poland. Next night the front will extend into a weakly gradient low pressure field along our southern borders. The wind will die down and the intensity of rainfall will significantly weaken. In the north-east of the country there will be occasional light snowfall.
On Thursday, a warm section of the front will slowly begin to push over Poland. Initially, the front zone will cover the southern voivodeships, and then, at a rather slow pace, it will move north-eastwards, reaching the center of the country at the end of the day. Behind the front, warmer air masses will again flow to us from the south of the continent. Cold air will continue to linger over the rest of the country. In some places on the coast, clouds will form in the cold but quite humid air, bringing light snowfall.
The following days saw a further migration of the front zone towards the north-east and a more decisive inflow of warm but humid air from southern Europe.
