The September heat will last for a few more days. What in the weather awaits us in the second half of the month? Check the long-term forecast for 16 days, prepared by tvnmeteo.pl presenter Tomasz Wasilewski.

The high, which rules the European weather, is holding strong and before it weakens, it will bring more masses of hot air to Poland. The situation is similar in many other countries, not only in the center of the continent, but also in the west and south, and even partly in Scandinavia, because the air here is exceptionally warm – for September – from northern Africa. However, it is worth noting that cooler air will move from the north towards the UK at the beginning of the week. It is this colder air mass, preceded by an atmospheric front, that will reach us in a few days, after the high pressure weakens (see the map).

Weather forecast for 16 days

Until Wednesday inclusive, we can expect exceptionally high temperatures for the end of summer – in the south of the country it will still be around 30 degrees Celsius. Later, from Thursday, it will get cooler and then it will be slightly less than 20 degrees Celsius in the north, and up to 23-24 degrees Celsius in other regions. The next wave of cooler air may come after September 20 and then the highest temperature we can expect it is 21-22 degrees C, and the lowest during the day will be 16-17 degrees C.
