After a snowy and frosty beginning of December, the forecast shows a thaw of several days. Check the long-term weather forecast prepared by tvnmeteo.pl presenter Tomasz Wasilewski.
Cold air from the north, which already entered much of Europe at the beginning of the week, will continue to flow, among others, to the center and east of the continent. This cold air circulation is favored by the low flowing eastward and the high pressure, which will stretch from Scandinavia to the Balkans on Monday. And the above-mentioned high pressure will be the reason for the weather improvement that will take place after the weekend, but at the same time the clear weather will result in heavy night frosts – up to about -15 degrees Celsius, especially in southern Poland.
Apart from our country, almost the entire eastern half of the continent and a large part of the center of Europe will be in the frosty air zone, as we present on the map below.
Weather forecast for 16 days
It will be mostly frosty in the coming days – up to -5 degrees during the day, but at night temperatures can be expected to drop to minus a dozen or so degrees. In the second half of the week, there will be a slight thaw in western Poland, up to 3 degrees, and still light frost in the east.
Later, after December 11, we will see warming throughout the country and the thermometers will show up to 5-6 degrees in the west. After several days of a clear thaw, from December 17, frosty air will begin to flow to us again and it will be getting colder day by day.
The next 16-day temperature forecast is next Sunday.
