Weather forecast for June. Weather rollercoaster. “Thermal shock awaits us”

In June, the temperature can fall strongly, posing a threat to agriculture and breeding. In Germany, farmers are currently estimating whether there will be frost – a wave of coldness at this time is a great threat to sheep. In June they are cut and a decrease in temperature at the ground to zero degrees Celsius threatens them cold. In Poland, we do not anticipate a decrease in temperature close to the freezing level, but it will be noticeably cold.

On Friday, June 13, a hot wedge will come towards us, stretching from North Africa to Scandinavia. This means the influx of hot tropical air into our area and a rapid increase in temperature, which on Saturday can exceed 30 degrees in the west of Poland. At a height of 1.5 km, the temperature along the Polish border is expected to rise to 20 degrees. In the peak parts of the Giant Mountains, it is likely that the temperature will reach up to 18 degrees Celsius.

In the following days we will have a thermal shock, carried by another rafting from the Atlantic. Our regions of Europe will reach the bay of cold again and the temperature will drop. The polar air masses, pushing on the heat wedge, will lead to the development of the storm front. Its main manifestation will be storms With hail and strong wind on Sunday night and on Monday, June 16. On this day, the temperature in the afternoon will be about 10 degrees lower compared to the weekend.

Around 18-19 June, the temperature may not increase above 20 degrees at all. Such a variable aura may take up to June 25, which can be seen well in the forecasts of the European ECMWF prognostic center. It seems to be a significant deviation of temperature below the norm in both the first wave of cold between June 9 and 12 and in the next between 16 and 22.
