The spokesman for the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management said that the temperature could rise to 32 degrees by the end of the long weekend. – Such values ​​are forecast for Lower Silesia, Małopolska and Opole before Saturday, while on Saturday and Sunday, thermometers in the center may show 32 degrees – said Grzegorz Walijewski. A zone of atmospheric fronts is also expected to reach Poland, which will bring dangerous weather phenomena, especially in the south of the country. – The greatest threat during storm there will be strong winds, reaching speeds of up to 90 km/h. Such strong gusts can knock down weakly rooted trees, damage power lines, so communication problems are not excluded – the spokesman added IMWM.

Weather in Poland. Forecast for Thursday and Friday

The beginning of the long weekend in central and southern Poland IMWM announces showers and thunderstorms, locally with hail. Their greatest activity is forecasted for hours afternoon. The amount of precipitation during storms will reach from 25 to 40 mm, and in the foothill areas, up to 55 mm. At night, their amount will be limited to 20 mm.

The maximum temperature in most of the country will be between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius. It may be the coldest on the coast – around 22 degrees, and the warmest in the southeast – around 33 degrees Celsius. At night, the minimum temperature will be between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Forecast for Saturday and Sunday. What to expect for the long weekend?

The weekend will be moderate to heavy cloud cover. There will still be scattered showers and thunderstorms. hailmainly in the west and south of Poland. The amount of precipitation during storms will reach 30 mm, however, in places in Silesia and Małopolska it will increase to 50 mm.

The maximum temperature in most of the country will remain between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. However, it will be cooler in the north – from 20 to 23 degrees. The minimum temperature will be from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. Wind gusts weak and moderate at times, increasing to 80 km/h only during storms.
