Within the next 24 hours, Poland will reach the vast, deep Emir low above the British Isles, in a stream of warm air flowing from southwestern Europe – says tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Damian Zdonek.

He adds that what deserves special attention in Europe is the deep low pressure system over the eastern part of the Atlantic Ocean and the British Isles, which in that part of the continent will be associated with violent weather phenomena in the form of gusty winds, intense rainfall and storms. On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the hurricane will reach northwestern France and the southern coast of the British Isles, bringing with it very strong winds, gusting to 90-110 kilometers per hour over land, 110-130 kilometers per hour in the coastal zone and even 150-170 kilometers per hour. km/h by the sea.

– In the following hours, the cyclone will weaken and its center will move towards the North Sea, as a result of which Poland will not be directly exposed to dangerous phenomena related to the Emir. Despite this, its presence will be felt in the form of quite strong winds on Thursday and Friday, and on Friday also in the form of rain – explains the forecaster.

On Thursday, All Souls’ Day, there will be a lot of sunny skies. In the second part of the day, cloud cover will increase in the west of the country, but there should be no rain. The maximum temperature will range from 11 degrees Celsius in the Suwałki region, through 14-15 degrees C in the center of the country, to 16-17 degrees C in the south. The wind will be south-eastern, moderate and gusty, reaching a speed of 40-60 kilometers per hour, and in the mountains it will blow even stronger, up to 60-80 km/h.

Friday is going to be cloudy with rain. In the western part of the country, 10-20 liters of water per square meter will fall, and in the center and eastern regions from 2 to 10 l/sq m. The thermometers will show a maximum of 10-11 degrees C in Western Pomerania to 17-18 degrees C in Podkarpacie. The wind will be moderate and quite strong, gusty, reaching 40-60 km/h, and in the mountains up to 60-80 km/h. The wind will blow from the south-east.

The weather will clear up on Saturday. The maximum temperature will reach from 10 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 12 degrees C in the center of Poland, to 13-14 degrees C in Podkarpacie. Moderate winds will blow from the south, only gusty in the western regions.

Sunday will bring cloudy weather with rain. Thermometers will show a maximum of 11 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 11-12 degrees C in the central part of the country, to 12-13 degrees C in the south. The wind will be moderate, strong in the mountains, south-easterly.

Variable cloudiness with light rain is forecast for Monday. The maximum temperature will range from 9 degrees C to 12 degrees C in Lower Silesia. There will be a moderate westerly wind, with quite strong gusts.
