As the synoptic tvnmeteo.pl Arleta Unton-Pyziołek reported, the weather in our country is governed by low-pressure vortices from the Atlantic. Moderately cool air masses reached Poland, hence the temperature dropped below 0 degrees Celsius in places in the morning. It rained in parts of the country.

Poland is under the influence of low-pressure vortices from the Atlantic – informed the weather forecaster tvnmeteo.pl Arleta Unton-Pyziołek. The weather is shaped by a vortex with three centers: over Scandinavia, the Atlantic and the Netherlands.

There is a cold front over the south-eastern part of the country. Light snow showers are expected in places. From the southeast, from Austria, Hungarian and Slovakia heading towards southern Poland, rain and sleet zone.

The country remains in a moderately cool mass of polar air flowing from the ocean.

Monday morning brought heavy clouds with more clear spells and clearings across the country. It was raining lightly in the Bieszczady Mountains. In places in Pomerania there was a shower in a humid air mass.

There was fog in the south. Visibility was limited – in Krakow up to 200 meters, aw Kielce up to 50 m. It generally blew weakly and moderately from the south and southwest, but at times it gained strength. In the Karkonosze Mountains, and more specifically on Śnieżka, gusts reached 80 kilometers per hour, the weather forecaster reported.

There were places where frost crept in. Residents of Krakow and Kielce saw -1 degree Celsius on thermometers. The temperature of 0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Zakopane. In Warsaw, Toruń, Zielona GóraOpole, Rzeszów, Gdańsk and Olsztyn, thermometers showed 2 degrees C. The warmest was in Łeba and Ustka – up to 5 degrees C.
