In the first decade of February, in some places in Poland, the sun shone for less than three hours. This is very little compared to archival data. Unfortunately, as tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek announces, sunny days will not return soon.

According to data from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, in the period from February 1 to 11, the sun shone the longest in Nowy Sącz – 21 hours of sunshine were recorded there. The lowest amount of sunlight was recorded in Kielce. City residents could enjoy the sun during this period for only 2.5 hours.

Not much sun

Compared to multi-year values, this year’s February is exceptionally cloudy. In the first decade of the month, Kielce received only 4 percent of average sunshine, and at many other stations the values ​​remained below 10 percent.

We don’t have good news for those who miss the sun’s rays. In the coming days, including Wednesday and Friday, there is only a chance for short-term clearing and clearing. From the weekend, the weather in our country will be affected by the weather front again, so sunny days are not expected.

According to tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, a similar trend is expected to continue until the end of the month, as the weather will be dominated by low pressure systems from the Atlantic Ocean, and snowfall is likely to return in the last days of February.
