We recommend caution

In the highest parts of the Tatra Mountains you have to prepare for wet and slippery rocks. Some sections of the trail may be flooded in some places, including the bypass around Morskie Oko. After night frosts, there may be icing in places, and in shaded areas there may be residual snow. Above 2,100 meters above sea level, the trails were covered with a thin layer of fresh snow.

– Such conditions are conducive to slips, so you need to be extremely vigilant. We can encounter very difficult conditions, among others, on the trails in Rysy, Pod Chłopkiem Pass or in the vicinity of Zawrat – warned the mountain guide.

In such weather, hiking through the Tatra valleys is recommended, especially those less frequented, such as the Olczyska Valley, from which you can go up to Kopieniec Wielki or Nosal with an undemanding climb. Tourists should always check before going to the Tatra Mountains weather forecastbecause the aura in the mountains changes very quickly. In the event of a sudden deterioration in weather, you should review your plans.
