Great mobilization during the final stretch of the Szlachetna Paczka campaign. On Friday evening, 20 families were waiting for help. No one in the team had any doubts that Friday’s surge of donors would save the “Weekend of Miracles” and it would be a success again. This is what happened.
Over 17,000 families in need will receive their Noble Box – that’s over 1,500 more than a year ago. On Friday evening, 20 more families were waiting for support, but eventually they all found their donors.
This year, the Weekend of Miracles, a time of meetings and handing over of Noble Parcels, will take place on December 16 and 17.
Szlachetna Paczka reaches those in need all over the country
Szlachetna Paczka even goes to forgotten places.
Mr. Janusz received a new housing container from good people. Donors will now help him get organized. He will get a wardrobe, chairs and food. The man says that he went abroad for work, but while abroad he had a stroke. Today he lives on benefits. After buying medicines, he lives on PLN 15 a day.
– Often because they have never needed help before, it is difficult for them to ask for it now – says Julia Hermanowicz, coordinator of Szlachetna Paczka from Białystok.
The president of Szlachetna Paczka, Joanna Sadzik, admits that “it is very difficult to read the story of Mrs. Wanda, who says that she dreams of a roll with yellow cheese.”
