Joanna Sadzik, president of the management board of the Wiosna Association, which is responsible for organizing this action, said on Saturday evening in TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach” that 63 percent of all parcels have already been delivered to families in need. – I am very happy and very proud that I can be part of this campaign, because in moments like these you simply feel that life has meaning – said Julia Kamińska, actress and ambassador of the campaign.

Lasts “Weekend of Miracles” by Szlachetna Paczka. This year, over 17,000 families from all over Poland will receive help. Thanks to the support of donors and volunteers, help reaches where it is needed most.

Joanna Sadzik talked more about this action in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24, president of the management board of the Wiosna Association, which is responsible for organizing Szlachetna Paczka, and Julia Kamińska, actress, ambassador of Szlachetna Paczka and winner of the Charity Star plebiscite.

– On Friday morning, we were still worried about whether all families would receive help. And I can already say – there is a counter behind me – how many parcels are delivered. 63 percent of all parcels, i.e. 10,726 families, have already been received. So the packages are already at their home. And this happened also thanks to you, said Joanna Sadzik.

She was asked whether in an emergency situation, if one of the families did not receive the parcel, there was a plan B prepared. – We cannot imagine such a situation, that is why we fight until the very end for each family and I can say that yes, there is always a plan B. prepared, but we have never had to use it before, she said.

“Nearly two million people live in extreme poverty, which means they have PLN 20 or less a day for everything”

The president of the management board of the Wiosna Association spoke about the scale of needs that Szlachetna Paczka meets.

– Nearly two million people live in extreme poverty, which means they have PLN 20 or less a day for everything – housing, food, clothing. It is true that very often people live next to us, in a neighboring apartment, on a neighboring staircase, in a house somewhere near the forest. They live next to us and we do not notice it, because sometimes they are dressed quite well and it is not obvious that they are simply hungry, said Joanna Sadzik.

– It was the most terrifying thing this year that resulted inflation these people who previously couldn’t afford a refrigerator, couldn’t afford a washing machine, sometimes didn’t buy medicines, this year told us: “I’m hungry, I don’t have money for food, I don’t have enough for my very everyday needs, My radiators are turned off, I don’t heat my apartment because I simply won’t pay the bills after the increase in energy prices,” she continued.

At the same time, she said that “it is terrifying that in the 21st century in Poland, in a quite rich country, there are such people around us and we sometimes fail to notice them.”

Kamińska: I am very proud to be part of this action

Julia Kamińska was asked about the emotions that accompany those involved in this action.

– I think these are some of the most beautiful tears we can experience, also as people observing from the outside. Because it seems to me that there is nothing more moving than watching people who are in need. And how this wonderful initiative meets their needs makes us feel like we are human, in the best sense of the word. So you really can’t stop crying, you can’t stop being moved, she said.

– I am very happy and very proud that I can be part of this action, because in moments like these you simply feel that life has meaning – she continued.

Kamińska: it simply makes me feel like a better person

Julia Kamińska also talked about why she decided to become an ambassador of the campaign. – I don’t know if that’s the right word, but I guess it’s true that I help a little for selfish reasons. Nothing else gives me such a sense of fulfillment and joy as the opportunity to help someone who really needs help, she said.

– I am very glad that there are organizations like Wiosna that make us know that we can participate in the Szlachetna Paczka or the Academy of the Future, and it simply makes me feel like a better person, a better person. That’s why I recommend it to everyone, she added.
