A 35-year-old woman from Węgliniec (Lower Silesia Province) was charged with exposing her eight-year-old son to the immediate danger of causing serious bodily harm, physically and mentally abusing him, and making criminal threats against him. A call in connection with a child’s hand being pinched by an intoxicated mother
Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, spokeswoman for the police in Zgorzelec, informed that on July 14, the duty officer received a report that an intoxicated mother had pinched her child’s hand. Police officers and an ambulance were immediately rushed to the spot. – The officers who arrived at the scene arrested his 35-year-old mother on suspicion of violence against his eight-year-old son. For the policemen, the life and health of the child were the most important. The officers notified the family court, the poviat family assistance center about the whole incident and contact was made with MGOPS Węgliniec. The juvenile was taken to the hospital, police said.
As she reported, the mother had nearly two times the legal limit of alcohol in her body.
Allegations against the mother
– A 35-year-old woman at the police station in Pieńsk heard allegations of exposing a minor to a direct danger of causing serious bodily harm, abuse of a minor through the use of psychological violence in the form of insults, insults and physical violence, and two allegations of making punishable threats – informed Goguł. The materials of the proceedings were sent to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zgorzelec with a request to apply preventive measures against the 35-year-old in the form of police supervision and a restraining order. The eight-year-old was placed in a foster family by an interim decision of the Family Court in Zgorzelec. At the same time, the family was covered by the so-called procedure “Blue Card”.
