Scholz: It’s time for Putin to finally understand that his plan has failed

– Today in Paris, the three of us want to send a very important signal showing how trusted and close the cooperation of France, Poland and Germany is in Europe. The Weimar Triangle is of great importance to our three countries, said Scholz. He added that under this format, the leaders of these countries closely consult each other.

– Our position is clear: Germany, France and Poland stand closely with Ukraine. We support this country in defense against Russian aggression in political, humanitarian and financial terms, as well as by supplying weapons, he stressed.

He assured that this will be done as long as necessary. – The three of us assured Ukraine and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of this independently of each other, because on this issue we stick together and consult each other closely (…). This unity is our strength.

Scholz said it was time for Putin to finally understand “that his plan failed.”

– It is time for this war, after almost 16 months, with hundreds of thousands of dead, millions of wounded and even more refugees, to end. It’s time for him to withdraw his troops and finally be ready to talk about a just peace,” the German chancellor said
