Wejherowo. The perpetrators of robbery face over 22 years in prison

Criminal investigators from Wejherowo (Pomeranian Voivodeship) detained two men, aged 24 and 40, who are suspected of robbery in one of the apartments in Wejherowo. The perpetrators were let inside by the victim, whom they held down and stole valuable items. They face over 22 years in prison because this is not their first conflict with the law.

The court imposed pre-trial detention on both suspects. They face up to 22.5 years in prison.

– According to the police’s findings, someone knocked on the victim’s door and the woman opened the door without making sure. Then it turned out that they were two strange men. The victim immediately tried to close the door, but the men forcibly pushed her away and entered the apartment. Then they used violence to reduce her to a state of defenselessness – said the press officer of the Wejherowo police, staff midshipman Anetta Potrykus.

Jewelry and a phone were stolen

The policewoman explained that the incident took place on January 2 in the evening in one of the apartments in Wejherowo.

– During the attack, the perpetrators stole jewelry and a mobile phone from the woman and then fled the scene. The 47-year-old called the police and an ambulance for help, Potrykus added.

The suspects were detained in Gdynia. The men were taken to the Wejherowo police station, where, after interrogation, they were charged with committing robbery as part of a return to crime.

The court imposed a three-month arrest on the perpetrators. They face from 2 to 22.5 years in prison.
