Due to backflow, the road from Kamień Pomorski to two towns on Chrząszczewska Island (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) was flooded. The volunteer fire brigade announced that on Monday morning it would organize transport for the residents of both villages.
Firefighters in seaside towns are intervening in connection with the backwater that occurred on Sunday as a result of high water levels and strong north-west winds on the Baltic coast. Water flooded roads and properties in many places.
The road leading from Kamień Pomorski towards the towns of Chrząszczewo and Buniewice on Chrząszczewska Island has been flooded since the morning.
“We appeal to people to be careful while driving and, if possible, to stay at home. The road conditions are difficult. If it is necessary to leave, please be extremely careful,” appealed the police from Kamień Pomorski.
