“What kind of system do we have in Poland? It is a pathology of parliamentary representation”

Those who declare that state sovereignty is an absolute value and do not agree to “foreign dictates” have changed their strategy: we will not leave the European Union, but we will simply blow it up from the inside, building the Union of Nation States – he describes in “Polish-Conversations “non-Polish” professor Jan Zielonka, lawyer and political scientist.
Prof. Jan Zielonka, a lecturer at the University of Oxford, the European University of Florence and the Dutch University of Leiden, who lived for years in Great Britain and now in Italy, looks at Poland differently – from a distance.
The migration crisis that hit Italy – as he argues – cannot be solved by building walls and dams. This is a global problem. And only by joint action – of the entire European Union – could it be counteracted.
According to Professor Zielonka, the problem is not immigrants from Asia or Africa, but refugees from Ukraine. Or rather, they will be: – PiS opened the borders to hundreds of thousands of refugees from Ukraine and… washed its hands of the problem. Their work was carried out by local governments, large cities and ordinary citizens. Due to the PiS campaign, it changed its rhetoric towards Ukraine. The issue of grain, perhaps further military aid. This will worsen relations between Poles and Ukrainians. The Confederation is trying to take advantage of this. Also PiS – explains the lawyer and political scientist.
