MEPs Kosma Złotowski (PiS) and Elżbieta Łukacijewska (PO) talked about changes in the government in “Fakty po Faktach”. According to Złotowski, the reconstruction was carried out “so that the entire coalition would feel involved not only in supporting the government, but also in exercising power”. – I am a little embarrassed by this carousel of changes that does not serve anyone. Only to calm down, to reassure the coalition partners – said Łukacijewska.
The Presidential Palace was sworn in on Tuesday new ministers. He will manage the newly separated sports and tourism department Kamil Bortniczuk from the Republican Party. Previously, the ministry belonged to the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sports. However, before it was included in it, a separate Ministry of Sport operated from November 2019 to February this year.
Złotowski: It’s also about keeping the majority in the Sejm
When asked why the Ministry of Sport was liquidated, when it was re-established, Złotowski replied that “this is why the law on administration departments was created a long time ago to be able to do this kind of reconstruction”.
Considering that the ministry was restored for Bortniczuk and the republicans and that we would not “cheat” on this issue, Złotowski said: – But we are not deceiving ourselves, you can see it, everyone can see it.
– Nobody is hiding it or trying to hide it. A new ministry was created, that is, some departments of the administration were taken out of one ministry and moved to another. This is a purely technical matter – he said.
In his opinion, it happened “so that the entire coalition would feel involved not only in supporting the government, but also in exercising power and governance”. – It is clear, this is also what democracy is about, it is also about keeping the majority in the Sejm. It’s clear, I don’t know why you are surprised – added the PiS MEP.
Łukacijewska: It’s not about good management and good decisions for Poland and Poles
Łukacijewska assessed that “the point is to please all the co-coalition partners”. – It is not about good management and good decisions for Poland and Poles. I am a bit embarrassed by this carousel of changes that does not serve anyone. Only to calm down, to reassure the coalition partners, and they should feel full, not hungry – she said.
