It is being said all the time – which I do not agree with – that the president wants to help PiS. He actually wants to take revenge on PiS – said Zbigniew Janas, an opposition activist in the Polish People’s Republic, in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. In his opinion, the best “revenge” will be the quick appointment of Donald Tusk as prime minister and the adoption of several most important laws. Małgorzata Niezabitowska, former spokeswoman for Tadeusz Mazowiecki’s government, emphasized that the new government must make a “fundamental review” of the actions of its predecessors and “has great tasks to repair what has been broken.”

President Andrzej Duda he talked to politicians at the end of October PIS, Civic Coalition, Third Way, Left and Confederation regarding post-election decisions and the possibility of forming a government. Later, he summed up the consultations and said: – Today we have two serious candidates for the position of prime minister. We have two political groups that claim to have a parliamentary majority and that have their own candidate for prime minister.

Janas: the president actually wants to take revenge on PiS

Małgorzata Niezabitowska, former spokeswoman for Tadeusz Mazowiecki’s government and former journalist of “Tygodnik Solidarność” and Zbigniew Janas, opposition activist in the Polish People’s Republic, talked about who the president will entrust with the mission of forming the government in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

– It is being said all the time – which I do not agree with – that the president wants to help PiS. Well, my theory is completely different. He actually wants to take revenge on PiS. The reception of Mastalerek (Marcin, now the head of the president’s cabinet – ed.) should have already given us a signal, and what he said first, that Kaczyński should leave. In my opinion, he (the president) is thinking about revenge because he suffered so many terrible things from PiS, said Zbigniew Janas.

– We remember the humiliation when Kaczyński turned away from him and did not greet him. He treated him in general as a fifth wheel. My theory is that all he’s thinking about right now is getting revenge on them. And now, in such a situation, I have a proposition for him – I believe that if this is the case, the best revenge on PiS, which he simply deserves, will be the quick appointment of Prime Minister Tusk and the adoption of a few laws, the most important ones, which at the very they will give us KPO at the beginning – he said.

– In my opinion, he simply knows that there is nothing they can do to him and it is just a matter of finding the best way to repay them for the humiliation he has suffered – he added.

Niezabitowska: the new government has great tasks to repair what has been broken

Małgorzata Niezabitowska spoke about the need for the new government to account for what it will find after its predecessors. – Now they are talking about an audit. As I hear, (it will be – ed.) an audit regarding finances. I really highly recommend doing a basic review and balance of everything and writing it down, she emphasized.

– It should be a very specific, large document, regardless of the audits that will be used to govern at the moment. And of course, this audit or balance sheet will also provide a whole list of things to fix – she pointed out.

As she continued, such a balance would be the basis for the recovery program, “because there were many actions and many omissions.” – All this needs to be included and it is very, very important – she added.

She also stated that the new government “has great tasks to repair what has been broken” and the expectations are “huge.” What one of such matters she pointed out here is the “immediate repair of public media”.
