– We want the project to be delivered. We want to oblige the government to implement this project not based on announcements, but to change the relevant documents, to update the multi-year program, so that we know in what dates the CPK program will be implemented exactly, and so that these are binding dates and schedules for the government – Michał Czarnik said during a press conference. “Yes to CPK” believes that the airport in the first phase and the first stage of the high-speed railway on the Łódź – Warsaw section should be built by the end of 2030.
CPK company responds to the Central Communication Port project
The CPK company, in response to the citizens' project submitted to the Sejm, informed that “there are no doubts about the implementation of the CPK program”. “The social movement that convinces public opinion and the government of the need to implement the CPK program is in line with the already formulated position of the current government on this matter. We are therefore dealing with an unusual situation: public persuasion of the convinced” – we read. The CPK company assured the “Yes for CPK” association that “we are all 'yes' to CPK” and is working every day to implement this investment.
“We are aware of the differences in the approach to schedules and the scope of investments between the CPK company and the 'Tak dla CPK' association,” the company said. According to the adopted assumptions, a location decision for the airport will be issued by the end of 2024, and in 2026 the CPK company will obtain a building permit. The current schedules also indicate that construction will be completed in 2031, and commercial traffic will be transferred from Chopin Airport to the new airport in 2032.
