Work in Poland. They are looking for employees, but they are not there
Total 81 percent in the country companies in the discussed period (May-July) do not intend to change the level of employment. This problem can also be seen in other studies. According to the report for GI Group Holding, nearly half of the companies operating in Poland – 49.8 percent – reports recruitment problems. At the same time, nearly a third of respondents as a cause of these problems indicated the lack of candidates. It can also be seen that the financial expectations of potential willing with the employer's capabilities are very often dismantling (this is the main problem according to companies' indications). We write more about this study in the following text:
In turn, the ManpowerGroup report on the logistics industry in Poland shows that as much as 37 percent. Representatives of this industry pays attention to the lack of work candidates – although 40 percent respondents intend to employ new employees this year.
Tomasz Walenczak, CEO of ManpowerGroup in Poland, in a conversation with us pointed to the source cause of these problems: demography. – That's it aging and shrinking populationi.e. also decreasing labor. And if you add more and more restrictive legal regulations regarding the employment of foreigners, it turns out that we have small resources and they are shrinking. And work in logistics is difficult, demanding, companies in this industry have slightly more challenges ahead of them than others – believes the expert.
As the Polish Economic Institute writes, visible differences between different regions of the country indicate that the importance of local conditions increases on individual labor markets. “Some factors, e.g. the availability of a qualified workforce, the economic structure of the region or competition for employees increasingly determine the staffing decisions of enterprises. In many cases, companies, instead of reduction of employment, choose adaptive strategies, e.g. Investments in automation, outsourcing or flexible forms of work. This is a signal not only of the resistance of the labor market, but also a change in the approach to human resource management in conditions of cost pressure and limited availability of employees ” – we read in the study of PI.
