Poland is located in the zone of an undulating front stretching over the southern and western regions of the country, from Subcarpathia, through Lesser Poland and Silesia, to the Lubusz Land, Greater Poland, Pomerania, the Coast and the Bay of Gdańsk.
The belt of heavy rainfall is associated with the Genoese low, the center of which is currently located over western Slovakia. The belt of heavy rainfall associated with it extends over Bavaria, northern Austria, the entire Czech Republic and the southern part of our country, including Lesser Poland, the Silesian Uplands and Opole Region, and the western ranges of the Sudetes.

Rainfall intensity is 30-50 liters per square meter per hour. They are moving in a northwest direction.
As Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, the weather forecaster at tvnmeteo.pl, reported on Friday evening, in the following provinces: Subcarpathian and Lesser Poland they occur storms. Atmospheric discharges are accompanied by heavy rainfall, which in some places amounts to 40-50 l/m2.
So far, since Thursday, the total rainfall in the Kłodzko Valley has exceeded 100 liters per square meter. In the last 24 hours, the most rain fell in the area of Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie and Złoty Stok (Lower Silesia Province), where 85 l/m2 was recorded.

Forecasts for the next few days
Due to the low moving in the south and southwest of the country, in some places as much rain could fall in four days as usually falls in half a year. These are rainfall totals that could lead to flooding and flooding.
Saturday 14.09
Saturday will bring heavy rainfall, in the south with periods of strong intensity, and in the Opole region, Silesia and Małopolska – temporarily torrential. The highest rainfall totals are forecast in the following provinces: Silesian and Lesser Poland – up to 60 l/m2, Opole and Podkarpackie – up to 50 l/m2, Lower Silesia and Świętokrzyskie – up to 40 l/m2, Łódź – up to 35 l/m2, Lublin – up to 30 l/m2.
On the first day of the weekend, it will also be rainy in the east, south-east and in the centre of the country. During the day, from 15 to 50 l/m2 may fall.
Sunday 15.09
On Sunday, rainfall of up to 60-80 l/m2 can be expected in the provinces Lower Silesian and Opole. About 30 l/m2 of water will fall in the Wielkopolska and Lubuskie voivodeships.
Monday 16.09
On Monday, the rain wave will weaken and move into the southern, eastern and central regions of the country. The highest rainfall totals may reach 10-15 l/m2.
