He added that the two cases were not related.

On the sidelines of the conference, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that he had issued an order to check the availability and number of Leopards owned by this country, but this does not mean much. It is, as he said, “a possible preparation for a possible decision” on the transfer of tanks.

Przydacz: everyone is for it, so far Berlin is against it

– At that moment, Poland decided that such a coalition must be formed – said Marcin Przydacz on the topic announcement by the president Andrzej Duda delivery of Leopard tanks, but only as part of an international coalition. Although “Germany is not in this coalition yet”, Przydacz announced diplomatic steps to change this state of affairs. “Everyone is in favor, so far Berlin is against,” he concluded.

The head of the BPM was also asked about the words of the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paweł Jabłoński, who said in an interview with PAP that Poland was ready to take “non-standard actions” to make Germany decide to hand over Leopards to Ukraine.

As he added, in accordance with the announcement of the Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak training will be launched soon. – I assume it will be in the perspective of days rather than months. The Russian offensive is coming, it will happen sooner or later, he said.

Przydacz: we have delivered less than 270 tanks to Ukraine so far

Marcin Przydacz was asked which countries are ready to provide Ukraine with Leopard tanks. – Talks are held in secret. I can give you a clue. (…) Just look at which countries present in Ramstein have Leopards – he replied. Some have more and some have less. (…) There are countries that have dozens or hundreds of them, and naturally these expectations are most actively articulated towards them, he added.

– In the first phase, this spring, less than 270 post-Soviet tanks, mainly T-72 – said Przydacz, when asked about the number of tanks that Poland has delivered to Ukraine so far. He added that thanks to them, “a difference was noted” in the effectiveness of the Ukrainians’ actions on the battlefield.

– You can’t do it without it. Even if the Ukrainian soldiers were the bravest, and they are super brave. It is impossible, without the most modern equipment and ammunition for this equipment, they will not be able to do much – said Marcin Przydacz on the importance of heavy equipment for the activities of the Ukrainian army.
