On Thursday evening in Leśnice (Pomeranian Voivodeship) there was a collision between a passenger car and a truck with a semi-trailer. Although no one was injured, the drivers had their registration certificates confiscated due to the damage to the vehicles. The perpetrator of the collision was fined PLN 3,000 and 10 points.
The incident on national road No. 6 in Leśnice (Pomeranian Voivodeship) took place on Thursday, February 1. The report was received by the fire brigade around 7 p.m.
– The driver of a Volkswagen passenger car, a 41-year-old resident of the Łódź Voivodeship, driving towards Lębork, started to overtake the car in front of him. During this maneuver, he hit a Volvo truck traveling correctly from the opposite direction, driven by a 31-year-old resident of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship – said Asst. staff. The incident was classified as a collision.
Three thousand fines and 10 penalty points
– Due to the damage to both vehicles, the police seized their registration certificates. For causing a road collision due to an incorrect overtaking maneuver, the driver of the Volkswagen received a fine of PLN 3,000 and 10 penalty points – added Asp. staff. Zielke.
The vehicles involved in the incident were towed by specialized roadside assistance equipment.
Two fire brigades were on site. The firefighters’ actions included securing the scene of the incident and securing diesel oil leaking from the leaking fuel tank.
