The Central Statistical Office reports that sales is the profession with the highest demand in planned job openings in 2024. On the other hand, from January to March, the most frequently wanted Among the large occupational groups were specialists (88.8 thousand). Right behind them were industrial workers and craftsmen (87.9 thousand). The next large occupational groups in which people were sought for work were machine and equipment operators and assemblers, and service and sales workers. “When considering the number of planned hires and the number of planned dismissals, one can see a predominance of hires over dismissals in all PKD sections. The highest ratio was observed in the Administration and support activities section, where 9.9 hires were declared for one planned dismissal. A high ratio was also noted in the Healthcare and social assistance section, where 8.6 hires are planned for one leave,” we read in the GUS report.
