Most of the Civic Coalition’s candidates for ministers have already been interviewed. The rest are waiting for the phone call, because there are ministries that have not yet been finally divided among the four coalition parties and it is not known in whose political hands they will end up. – When the boss calls, you have to pack your bags and show up for a new job – says one of the MPs who is to take over a ministry that is important to Donald Tusk. Officially, neither party in the coalition has confirmed the names of the candidates for ministers. Arleta Zalewska, a reporter of “Fakty” TVN, determined who Tusk wanted to choose.
Unofficially, it is known that they are returning to the government Radosław SikorskiBartłomiej Sienkiewicz i Borys Budka. They are the ones who will receive the key information Donald Tusk ministries – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Ministry of State Assets.
Adam Bodnar, a senator for a few days and previously, is preparing to join the Ministry of Justice Ombudsman. Marcin Kierwiński, one of the closest associates of the head of the Civic Platform, is to succeed Mariusz Kamiński from Law and Justice Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
The position of coordinator for special services is to be separated from this ministry – this was the case under previous ministers. One of the names that is mentioned unofficially here is Adam Szłapka – the leader of Nowoczesna and a member of the committee for secret services.
– The key for the boss in appointing other ministries is gender. For now, it’s practically just guys, and that can’t be the case. And it won’t be, says a politician who knows the backstage of negotiations well. Barbara Nowacka was a sure bet for the minister from the very beginning – “Gazeta Wyborcza” was the first to write that the head of the Polska Initiative would head the Ministry of Education. This is confirmed by our interlocutors in PO.
The search for a woman for the position of Minister of Health and Science and Higher Education is still ongoing. The latter ministry will be separated from the Ministry of National Education and Science. – I really wish we didn’t talk about any positions. These divisions continue, negotiations continue. I assure you that we will take proper care of equality, declares Barbara Nowacka.
According to unofficial information, the next three certain names are Paulina Hennig-Kloska (Poland 2050) as the new Minister of Climate and Environment, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, and Krzysztof Gawkowski as second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization.
The left in the future government will definitely deal with social policy and family. There are two candidates here: Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk and Katarzyna Kotula. The fight continues over the economic ministries: the Ministry of Development and Technology and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy. These ministries are to be divided between the Left and one of the Third Way MPs.
The new government is also to have several plenipotentiaries, including those for equal treatment and Polish-Ukrainian relations.
