Mlekovita and Milkpol met the conditions in the proceedings and submitted the most advantageous offers to purchase the butter that the Government Agency of Strategic Reserves wants to sell – according to information published on Friday on the Agency's website.
On Friday, RARS announced the results of tenders for the liquidation of strategic reserves. It's about selling frozen butter.
The document shows that Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Mlekovita and Milkpol Polska Sp. z o. o. met the conditions in the proceedings and submitted the most advantageous purchase offers.

Sale of butter from government reserves
On Tuesday, the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves announced a tender for the sale of frozen butter in 25 kg blocks; In total, RARS wants to sell approximately 1,000 tons of this product. The Prime Minister's office indicated that this should contribute to the stabilization of butter prices on the market. According to the tender document, the minimum selling price for frozen butter was set at PLN 28.38/kg (excluding VAT).
The next day the Prime Minister Donald Tusk he pointed out that intervention on the butter market is intended to make speculation on this product more difficult and to prevent further increases in its prices before Christmas.
