Typically, AJ McLean and the Backstreet Boys are two worlds aside—and that is OK.
As he continues on his wellness journey, the 45-year-old—born Alexander James McLean—has realized the significance of setting boundaries in life. The singer—who shares daughters Elliott, 10, and Lyric, 6, hairstylist Rochelle DeAnna McLean—continued, “When AJ’s finished doing work, I am Alex. I am a husband, I am a father, I am a pal.”
And since studying to set wholesome boundaries between work and his private life, AJ is “a lot happier than I might ever been.”
However that does not imply AJ is not happy with all that his onstage persona has accomplished. In any case, he thinks it is “actually cute” that there is a new technology of Backstreet Boys followers in his children and their associates.
