In a brand new two-part docuseries for Discovery+ titled Carole Baskin’s Cage Combat, which premieres Saturday, Nov. 13, viewers will go behind the scenes of the Large Cat Rescue founder’s quest to take down animal exploiters. In accordance with Baskin, in contrast to Netflix, the streaming service behind the headline-making Tiger King collection, Discovery+ was “was keen to cowl what we actually do.”
“I had thought for years, if folks might see the form of life we stay going after these animal abusers,” she continued, “and the way harmful it’s and the entire perils that we’re put in by attempting to save lots of these animals, that individuals would actually get behind saving massive cats.”
As to Baskin’s ideas on Tiger King (a.okay.a. the present that catapulted her into world fame)? It is protected to say she’s not a fan.
The Florida-based conservationist is at the moment suing the streamer and Royal Goode Productions, the manufacturing firm behind Tiger King, to dam any interviews or footage of her from showing in the upcoming sequel. As she claimed within the lawsuit, she and her husband Howard have been led to imagine that Tiger King could be a one-and-done documentary.
