Once we first heard Chris Pratt’s Mario voice within the preliminary trailer for The Tremendous Mario Bros. Film, it didn’t sound like Charles Martinet’s iconic Mario voice at all. However in a brand new interview to advertise the movie, Pratt busted out a Mario voice that truly sounds virtually precisely like what you hear within the Nintendo video games.

Simply hearken to Pratt’s “wahoo” and “it’s-a me” your self in this video from BBC’s The One Present:

They’re so good, proper? Initially, I used to be extraordinarily dissatisfied with Pratt’s Mario voice, particularly after he had promised that it would be “in contrast to something you’ve heard within the Mario world earlier than.” Seems that it may be identical to what we’ve already been listening to within the Mario world for years.

I’m relieved to listen to that Pratt really can do a terrific Mario voice, particularly as a result of the temporary tidbits we’ve heard of the remainder of the voice forged have been {dead} on as properly. (I’m significantly fond of Keegan-Michael Key’s Toad.) The film premieres on April 5th, and I can’t wait to see Mario and Luigi, uh, sliving.
