Tragic accident on national road 45 in Większyce (Opole province). A driver of an agricultural tractor fatally hit a pedestrian. Alternating traffic was introduced at the scene of the accident.
The incident took place on Saturday at around 11 a.m. on national road no. 45 in Większyce – a section of the Racibórz – Opole route. The services received information about a pedestrian being hit.
As reported by the officer on duty at the Provincial Fire Department Headquarters in Opole, an unfortunate accident occurred – the driver of the tractor lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and then hit a man standing on the sidewalk with the trailer. As a result of this incident, the injured person died.
The victim's identity is being established
– A man was hit by a driver of an agricultural tractor, his identity is being established. The driver of the agricultural tractor was sober – informed Senior Commissioner Magdalena Nakoneczna from the District Police Headquarters in Kędzierzyn-Koźle in an interview with tvn24.pl.
She added that police officers are still working at the scene of the accident under the supervision of the prosecutor.
Traffic on national road 45 is alternating.
