– We have received a report that the attic of a residential building at 9 Poniatowskiego Street in Wieliczka is on fire. We sent units, but upon arrival, it turned out that the funds were insufficient and more had to be disposed of. Three hosts from the rescue and firefighting unit in Wieliczka and 10 hosts from the Volunteer Fire Department are on site, the firefighter on duty at the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Wieliczka said.

He added that the fire had spread to the other building. – Two buildings are burning. At the moment, we have no information about the injured people. Before the arrival of fire protection units, residents evacuated the building, he said.

The fireman explained that the buildings were being searched. – The commander moved two firefighting teams inside the buildings to search them for the presence of people. No one has been found yet, he added.
