Unknown perpetrators blew up an ATM located in a shop wall at night in Kwilcz (Greater Poland Voivodeship). Firemen intervened. As a result of the explosion, a part of the market and a car standing in the parking lot caught fire. This is another such event in the area recently.
– Around 1.30 am, we received a report that an ATM at a supermarket in Kwilcz was probably blown up. The report also showed that the car was on fire – says Cpt. Marcin Piechocki, press officer of the Mieczysław Fire Brigade.
Firemen from PSP Międzychód and volunteer firefighters from nearby towns went there. The fire was extinguished. – Fortunately, nothing happened to anyone – says Piechocki, adding that the fire affected only a small part of the store.
The cameras recorded everything
Inspections and police activities are underway at the scene. – So far we do not know if anything is missing – informs Justyna Rybczyńska from the Międzychód police. Secured, among others recordings from market monitoring cameras.
The police have not yet reported whether the vehicle that caught fire belonged to the still unidentified perpetrators and whether money has disappeared from the ATM.
This is another such event in the area recently. On Wednesday, the police reported blowing up ATMs in Obrzycko and Duszniki in the Szamotuły district.
