Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego will grant loans for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea as part of the funds from the Offshore Wind Energy Fund. According to Jacek Bartmiński, Deputy Minister of State Assets, this is another step towards Poland's energy transformation and at the same time one of the main KPO projects to be implemented by the ministry.

PGE Baltica is building its base in Ustka

Together with the information about the BGK agreement with the Ministry of State Assets, there was also information about the company PGE Baltica, which announced a tender for the general contractor of its base in Ustka. It concerns the preparation of a detailed design and construction of an operational and service base for the needs of servicing offshore wind farms.

The company said in a statement that “the tasks of the construction contractor will include preparing complete design documentation and construction of the facilities and obtaining valid permits for their use.” The investment has been divided into several stages, the two basic ones being the operational and service base and a parking lot for passenger cars with an access road. PGE Baltica wants to sign the contract this year, and works construction to begin next year. It is assumed that the base will be ready by the end of 2026.
