Winter holidays start this Saturday. Students will rest on four dates. A two-week break in classes, depending on the province, will take place between January 18 and March 2. This year's winter holidays will be held in this format for the last time.
Students from voivodeships will have holidays from January 18 to February 2: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubuskie, Lesser Poland, Świętokrzyskie and Greater Poland.
Students from voivodeship Podlasie and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipo will have holidays from January 25 to February 9. From February 1 to February 16, students from… voivodeship Lower Silesia, Masovia, Opole and West Pomerania.
Holidays for students from voivodeship Lublin, Łódź, Podkarpackie, Pomeranian and Silesian will last from February 15 to March 2. The next break in schools – for Easter – falls from April 17 to 22.

Winter holidays with cyclical changes
The dates of winter holidays in individual voivodeships are announced by the Minister of Education on the basis of the regulation on the organization of the school year. Since the 2003/2004 school year, in accordance with the principle adopted at that time, the holiday dates in subsequent years have changed cyclically, e.g. for the first half of February, and in the following year – for the second half of February. The division into voivodeships was made taking into account the number of students in individual voivodeships. The following provinces are excluded from this rule: Podlasie and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, where the holidays are at the turn of January and February.
The last such holidays
This year, for the last time, the winter holidays will be held on four dates. In the 2025/2026 school year, the voivodeships were divided not into four but into three groups, and three rest dates for students during the winter break were established. The groups of voivodeships in which holidays will take place on the same date have also been redefined.
From January 19 to February 1, 2026, students from the following voivodeships will have holidays: Masovia, Pomerania, Podlaskie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmian-Masurian, from February 2 to February 15, 2026, from the following voivodeships: Lower Silesia, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Łódź, West Pomeranian, Lesser Poland and Opole, and from the 16th February to March 1, 2026 from the following voivodeships: Podkarpackie, Lublin, Greater Poland, Lubusz and Silesia.
