An unusual report was received on Tuesday evening by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin, USA. It read: “I have a lynx in the car.” When three police officers arrived at the scene of the call, they were in great shock, because instead of a criminal, they found a big wild cat.

Bobcat (lat. Lynx rufus) is stuck behind the grille (body part) of the car. Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas shared footage of the unusual call on social media.

“My deputies are really good at solving problems, but this one surprised them,” Mike Lukas wrote. He added that the police had called in reinforcements in the form of wildlife expert Bryan Lockman. Lockman works for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). He was able to get the animal out of the vehicle without much difficulty. The man then locked him in a cage and set him free.
