As the mayor of Włocławek said, he expects that City officials will work 35 hours a week. – This will not change the office's opening hours for residents. We will arrange our work schedule in a “sliding” manner, so that the office's opening hours for residents are at least as long as they are now, and in some variants we even plan to extend them – assured Kukucki.

He noted that as the manager of the workplace (office) he had already made a decision on shortening the working hours of officials. Detailed solutions are in the preparation phase, talks are ongoing and various options for organizing the functioning of the office are being considered.

– It is worth taking care of such a balance between private life and professional life. I believe that this is a good time for changes. Currently, Poles statistically work almost the most in Europe. My employees will have more time for themselves and their own families – emphasized the president.

Kukucki emphasized that the changes to the work organization will be determined by the employees themselves, because after all, it concerns them.

The President of Włocławek pointed out that detailed solutions must be ready by the August long weekendbecause the regulations for the organisation of office work must be published in the Public Information Bulletin two weeks prior to their introduction.

The first city in Poland to shorten the working hours of city officials is Leszno. The changes were introduced on July 1 – working hours reduced from 40 to 35 hours per week.
