At the age of 75, Wojciech Trzciński – composer, pianist, arrangement and music producer, founder of the Independent Art Center Fabryka Trzciny. The information was provided by TVN24 by his son, Stanisław Trzciński.

Wojciech Trzciński was a composer of entertainment, film and theater music, arranger, pianist and guitarist, conductor and music producer. He was one of the originators of the Polish Fryderyk Fonographic Industry Award, the founder of the private, independent art center Fabryka Trzciny, for which the creation received a politics passport and the Kisiel prize.

Trzciński was born on July 22, 1949 in Warsaw. He graduated from the High School in the guitar class and then studied at the Faculty of Geography of the University of Warsaw. He was involved in the artistic academic movement – he founded the Piwnica theater at Hohonia, for whom he wrote and performed songs. In 1969 he made his debut at the student song fair at the Warsaw club in Warsaw, where he won two awards: for interpretation and for the music of the song “What a joy to live”. In the 1980s and 1990s he was the artistic director and producer of many editions of festivals in Opole and Sopot. In addition, he was the director: artistic at the Musical Theater Danuta Baduszkowa in Gdynia (1993-1995), musical in the radio “Jedynka” (1994-1996) and deputy director of TVP1 for artistic matters (1996-1998).

His songs were performed by well -known Polish artists

He wrote over 300 stage songs, many of which have become hits.

Trzciński's songs were performed by artists such as Anna Jantar, Krystyna Prońko, Zdzisława Sośnicka, the Alibabki group, Halina Frąckowiak and Krzysztof Krawczyk. The artist also created a musical, the Oratory “Carol Nokka”, a musical fairy tale “Snow Queen”, music for theater performances and films, to such paintings as “Krzyk” (dir. Barbara Sass), “Woman and Woman” (dir. Ryszard Bugajski, Janusz Dymek) and “Halo, Szpicbródka” (dir. Janusz Rzeszewski, Mieczysław Jahoda).

In December, Trzciński was honored with the gold medal “Merit to culture Gloria Artis”. The award was handed by the artist of the Minister of Culture Hanna Wróblewska.
