A 31-year-old resident of the commune of Wola Uhruska (lubelskie province) was drunk. He caught the attention of the police because he was driving on the wrong side of the road. They gave chase and later found him at home hidden in a baby cot. As the officers report, while trying to stop him, he began to attack them with wooden elements of the bed.
On the night from Thursday to Friday (August 11) in Okuninka, police officers stopped a car for inspection, which was moving on the wrong side of the road.
“The driver stopped and then drove away from the place of control at high speed. The officers gave chase. They found the fugitive at home, hidden in … a baby cot” – reports Daniela Giza-Pyrzyna from the Poviat Police Headquarters in WÅ‚odawa.

As he adds, a 31-year-old resident of the Wola Uhruska commune was “clearly dissatisfied with the visit of uniformed officers”.
“By demolishing the apartment, he started attacking the policemen with wooden elements of the bed in which he was hiding a moment earlier” – describes the policewoman.
The man was arrested. It turned out that he was drunk (police do not say how much) and has a lifetime driving ban.
He faces up to five years in prison. He will be responsible not only for driving while intoxicated, but also for breaking a court ban, failing to stop for an inspection, violating the bodily integrity of police officers and punishable threats.
