Two policewomen patrolling the commune of Wolbórz (Łódź Voivodship) avoided a head-on collision with a car. As it turned out, the vehicle was driven by an intoxicated man, and an intoxicated partner was also sitting on his lap at the time. The case went to court.

The incident happened on Sunday (February 12). Around 1:30 a.m., police officers from the Wolbórz police station noticed a car in the village of Młynary, which was driving in the left lane. Its driver nearly caused a head-on collision with a moving police car.

Police: A woman was sitting on the driver’s lap

The police stopped the car for inspection. They saw that a woman was sitting on the driver’s lap. – The vehicle smelled of alcohol. After checking the sobriety of the 23-year-old and his 32-year-old partner, it turned out that they were both intoxicated. The man had more than one and a half per mille of alcohol, and his partner had more than two per mille in the body, said Asp. staff. Izabela Gajewska from the police in Piotrków Trybunalski. She reminded: – Drunk driving is a crime, but driving on the driver’s lap is also extremely irresponsible and can end tragically. The case of an intoxicated couple, who almost led to a head-on collision with a police car, will be dealt with by the court.
