The most severely injured man died in hospital after the explosion of a gas cylinder in Wilcze (Greater Poland Voivodeship). A total of three people were injured in the incident. The house partially collapsed.
The explosion took place on August 13, after 12 noon, in a single-family building in Wilcze in the Wolsztyn district.
The explosion did not cause an additional fire.
A total of six fire engines and two helicopters of the Polish Medical Air Rescue were dispatched to the scene.
– Part of the building collapsed. There was no one under the rubble. Three people left the house before we arrived. They were taken to the hospital with burns, the duty officer of the Greater Poland firefighters reported.
He died the worst
According to the wolsztyn112.info portal, the 34-year-old man who was seriously injured in the incident died in hospital.
The other people injured in the explosion are a 58-year-old who has already been discharged from the hospital, and a 58-year-old who – according to Wolsztyn112.info – was transported to one of the Silesian hospitals that specializes in the treatment of burns.
