King Charles III met on Sunday with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski. The Ukrainian president came to a meeting with the monarch to Sandringham in eastern England.

The king received Zelanski in his rural residence located near the village of Sandringham in Norfolk. The meeting took place at the President's request Ukrainewith consent Great Britain's government – BBC points out.

As the station reports, the inhabitants of Sandrigham gathered near the royal residence to welcome the Ukrainian president, some kept Ukrainian flags.

The British website said that the meeting lasted less than an hour, and Zelanski was “warmly received”.

Earlier on Sunday, Zelanski took part in A peak dedicated to Ukraine and Safety, organized in London by the prime minister of Great Britain Keira Starmer with the participation of leaders of several European countries. Poland was represented at the Prime Minister's meeting Donald Tusk.

The BBC reminds that the king had previously expressed support for Wołodymyr Zelnski and Ukraine. Karol spoke in the past about the “unfriendly attack” Russia and praised the Ukrainian people for “extraordinary courage and steadfastness.”

The previous one – the first – Zelanski meeting with the British monarch took place in February 2023 at the Buckingham Palace during the unannounced visit of the Ukrainian president to Great Britain.
