The Oxford University took first place in the Times Higher Education ranking of universities prepared by the weekly “Times Higher Education”. Myth and Harvard were also on the podium of the latest edition of the ranking. Over two thousand universities have been analyzed in the list. 41 universities from Poland appeared in it.
For the 9th time. In turn, the University of Oxford came first in the world ranking of the Times Higher Education weekly. As part of the list, over two thousand universities from 115 countries and territories were analyzed. Schools are assessed on the basis of 18 factors, covering issues such as quality and conditions of teaching, reputation of dormitories, the number of their citations or the importance of their research. Innovation or international perspectives are also significant.
In all these areas, universities can receive from 0 to 100 points. The highest classified Oxford University won 98.5. Next were the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University with an assessment equal to 98.1 and 97.7 points, respectively. Princeton (97.5) and Cambridge (97.4) also entered the top Friday.

The following places in the ranking were: Stanford University, California Institute of Technology, the University of California in Berkeley, Imperial College London and the University of Yale. Their assessments ranged from 97.2 to 94.1 points. The authors of the ranking also appreciated the Swiss university of Eth Zurich, Chinese universities of Tsinghua and Beijing, as well as the universities of Chicago and Pennsylvania. In the first hundred, American universities took the most items.
Among the over two thousand universities, the Medical University of Piastów Śląskie in Wrocław. He scored less than 46 points and, together with other similarly rated universities, was in the range of 501-600 (the exact position was not specified). The next were the Jagiellonian and Warsaw universities placed in the range of 601-800. The third result was obtained by the Medical University of Łódź (range 801-1000). In total, 41 universities from Poland were included in the ranking.
In last year's edition of the ranking, the first three places were taken by the University of Oxford, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The highest classified Polish universities were, as this year, the Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Piastów Śląskie in Wrocław. All of them were 601-800.

Later places were: Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Gdańsk University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology Stanisława Staszic in Krakow, University of Life Sciences in Poznań, University of Gdańsk, University of Wrocław and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
