Light to Heaven was the culminating moment of the 32nd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Music and lights flashed from the stage on the grounds of the National Stadium in Warsaw. The joyful show was accompanied by a dance performance. Light to Heaven was also organized in many other Polish cities and abroad.
At 8 p.m., the traditional Light to the Sky took place on the occasion of the 32nd Final. The main headquarters of the Orchestra on the grounds of the National Stadium lit up against the background of night Warsaw.
The countdown to the start was started by the head of WOŚP, Jurek Owsiak, who was accompanied on stage by the mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, Kasia Kieli, President & Managing Director, Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland and CEO of TVN and Minister of Sport Sławomir Nitras.
There was a show on stage with music and lights, as well as a dance performance. Light to Heaven was admired by the crowd of people gathered near the stage, but also in front of the TV sets.
Even before the countdown, Owsiak said from the stage that “we are all over the world, we even play at both poles, north and south, we play under the equator, we play on all continents.”
– This is the moment when we speak well of ourselves, when we smile, when we create a Poland that is for all of us. To hug her, to be happy, to talk about her in the most beautiful words – he added.
He said that such an atmosphere had been going on since Sunday morning and appealed “so that it doesn’t end tomorrow, so that it doesn’t end in a week, so that it stays with us all year long until the next Final.”
Light to Heaven also in other Polish cities and abroad
Light to Heaven was also organized in many other Polish cities, but not only. Also abroad, at the WOŚP headquarters, the lights were lit and this year’s Finale was celebrated with joy.
