The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will play for the 33rd time on Sunday, January 26. A stage, a town and the main studio were built on the National Park. The day before, on Saturday, participants of the “Count with Diabetes” Run will start from there. The organization of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Finale and accompanying events will result in changes in traffic and parking.

As every year, Warsaw will play with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. You can bid on, among other things, cooking with Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, but also a number of items and attractions related to public transport and the capital's roads. Entry prohibited

This year, the main stage, where the concerts will be held, is again located on the grounds of the National Stadium. Stopping is prohibited there. Abandoned cars may be removed at the owner's expense. Some of the restrictions on internal roads – in the north and south of the meadow – will be in force until Monday, January 27. For a longer period of time, until Sunday, February 2, drivers will not be able to park next to the railway embankment or on the side of Aleja Zieleniecka. The central part of the parking lot will remain unavailable until Monday, February 10.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 25 and 26, you will not be able to enter the National Park. Entry bans will be placed on the side of Zamoyskiego, Sokolej and Wybrzeża Szczecińskiego streets.

Running and difficulties

Changes in traffic will also be introduced during the 19th Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Run “Count with Diabetes”. On Saturday, January 25, the competitors will have to cover a five-kilometer route through the following streets: Siwca, Wybrzeże Szczecińskie, over the Świętokrzyski Bridge (they will turn around at Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie), Wybrzeże Szczecińskie towards Port Praski (where they will turn around), Zamość, Sokola (turn around) and back along Wybrzeże Szczecińskie Szczeciński and the “old” Sokola. Start at 12 noon from the National Park.

The streets along the competition route will be closed at 11 a.m. Drivers will not drive through the following streets: · Sokola and Zamość, from Targowa to Wybrzeże Szczecińskie; · Helskie Coast and Szczecin Coast, from Okrzeja to the Poniatowski Bridge; · Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie, from Zajęcza to Tamka; · Tamka, from Dobra to Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie; · Świętokrzyski Bridge.

Traffic will resume at 2 p.m.

Question about vintage vehicles

Thanks to the cooperation of the Public Transport Lovers' Club and the Public Transport Authority, on Sunday, January 26, special lines operated by historic rolling stock will appear on Warsaw streets. Bus 33A and tram 33T will deliver to the PGE Narodowy grounds.

Line 33A will run from the Gocław loop through the following streets: Bora-Komorowskiego, Saska, through the Washington Roundabout, Aleja Zieleniecka, Targowa to the Wileński Railway Station. In turn, trams 33T from Narutowicza Square will run along the following streets: Grójecka, through Zawiszy Square, Aleje Jerozolimskie, the bridge and Poniatowskiego Avenue, through the Washington Roundabout and Aleja Zieleniecka to the terminus near the Powszechny Theater.

Passengers will travel on special lines free of charge, and in the vehicles money for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be collected by volunteers from the KMKM staff. More information at kmkm.waw.pl.

On Sunday, January 26, volunteers with IDs of the 33rd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be able to use free public transport in ticket zone 1.

On the final evening, there will be a show called “Light to Heaven” on the meadows. Warsaw Public Transport will take care of the smooth return from the event. From 7:30 p.m., additional buses of line 509 will depart from the Washington roundabout – both towards Gocław and Winnica. More trains of lines 7 and 26 will also leave the route. From Aleja Zieleniecka they will take passengers towards Narutowicza Square and the terminus at the station, respectively. Młociny metro. The M2 metro line towards Bemowo will also run more frequently.
