Up to 10 years in prison threatens three men suspected of a series of burglaries in houses and flats in Lower Silesia. A group of burglars was arrested after a police ambush. Uniforms recovered many stolen items, including electronics, jewelry and cash. Some of the loot the detainees tried to hide in a vacuum cleaner. They were arrested by court order.
Criminal investigators from the city and provincial headquarters in Wrocław detained three foreigners aged 32, 43 and 50, suspected of stealing property, the Lower Silesian police announced on Sunday in a statement.
The men are suspected of committing a series of burglaries in Lower Silesia. As emphasized by the uniformed officers, the officers have been analyzing materials regarding theft from houses and flats for some time. The collected evidence made it possible to identify the likely thieves. The suspects were detained a few days ago in the Wrocław district as a result of a police ambush.

As Deputy Commissioner Wojciech Jabłoński of the Wrocław police informed in the communiqué, the officers found many items from burglaries, such as gold, jewelry, laptops, telephones and money. Officers also seized four vehicles that may have been used in the crime.

– The criminals tried to hide the stolen items in various places, such as a vacuum cleaner, even before the arrest. However, a well-planned police operation prevented them from doing so, JabÅ‚oÅ„ski said.

At least seven burglaries and thefts
According to Jabłoński, so far the police have proven seven burglaries and thefts from flats and houses in the Wrocław poviat.
The officers suspect, however, that the broken group has many more crimes on its account throughout Lower Silesia. – At present, verification and extensive analysis of cases where the perpetrators could be detained men is underway. In addition, the losses caused by the detainees are estimated – informed the spokesman of the WrocÅ‚aw police.
The District Court in Oława imposed a preventive measure in the form of pre-trial detention for three months against all suspects. For such acts, men can face up to 10 years in prison.
