The former deputy voivode of Lower Silesia is dead and former deputy marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodship Ewa Mańkowska – said the Lower Silesian Voivodship Office on Thursday. She was 78 years old. “Today is a really sad day,” commented the president of Wrocław.
In the years 2012-2014, Ewa Mańkowska was the deputy voivode of Lower Silesia, and in the years 2014-2018 she was the deputy marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodship. Over the years, she managed the Provincial Agricultural Advisory Center in Wrocław, and also served in the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection.
“Her involvement in the development of rural areas, environmental protection and cooperation with scientific and religious institutions were invaluable” – emphasized in the announcement of the Lower Silesian Voivodship Office.
Mańkowska was a doctor of agricultural sciences, a specialist in agricultural consulting and an academic lecturer.
For her activities, she was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit (2001), the bronze badge “Merit for fire protection” (2013) and the Gold Medal “For Merit to the Police” (2013).
The Mayor of Wrocław submitted condolences to the family. “Today is a really sad day,” commented Jacek Sutryk in social media.
